A quick look and I saw it for anywhere from $176.00 to $220.00

Just got JLT CAI & DTP tune and mine came with the heat shield. As far as the combo goes all I can say is HOLLY CRAP!!! Doing a rolling start in first gear the tires start to spin @ 4500 RPM. I am getting wheel hop when I shift in to 2, 3 gear blows by fast. I had ping with the caned 93 tune before I installed the CAI and had to back the timing off a bit. But no ping with DPT 93 tune and JLT CAI. This has been the best money I have spent on this car so far.

I was wondering, with this combo is there an option for 87 octane? or is it required to use 91 or 93?

You can get an 87 Octane tune for it. I know it's available for the Diablo Predator. I got both the 87 & 93 tunes and am running the 93 tune. Great product!!!

Jay, I have not taken delivery of my GT yet, but when I do I am considering youre CAI , with the tuner. I like the matching colors, anyway, just an FYI, have you considered doing the same thing with a plenum cover, in my opinion would make a nice addition to the CAI, something that said powered by ford accented in black painted Sonic Blue hint hint, I would order it if you had it.

Installed the JLT CAI last Saturday (write up coming) and the DTP Predator tune. Install was very straightforward. Put a couple hundred miles on it this week with no issues what so ever (except a noticeable increase in induction roar ). I will tell you this: with my magnaflows + Predator with canned tune I could power shift 1-2 with just a slight chirp of the stock 235/55-17's. With the only change being the JLT + DTP predator tune power shifting 1-2 now breaks the 295/35-19s completely loose. Scared the crap outa me today at the track. Car definately pulls much harder.

Jay makes a great CAI, and Brent@DTP did an excellent job on the tune. I am completly happy with the purchases

Does anyone know what the gains are for rwhp and rwtq with the 87 tune and 91 tune? That would be with the JLT cai and the Predator tunes.
Thanks, John

Got to see MTAS's setup in person, looks great and he had nothing but good things to say. He deserves a freebie as commission, I now want this kit.
Jay, since there's no pricing on the www yet, can you tell what the setup would cost finished in Torch Red, with the shield, and shipped to 33909? Also, other questions:
Can I just put your CAI on my car w/ no other mods (tune, etc) or will my check engine light come on? If it comes on, what's the fix and how much $? Lastly, what kind of gains will I see if I just put in on my otherwise stock GT?
Thanks!

You definitely need to retune with either SCT or Predator as the JLT, and any other CAI for that matter, leans it out too much to run without a CEL and damaging the engine.

So do I have to buy one of these things for a few hundred bucks, or can I take it somewhere and have the tune done for cheap?
