JLT CAI + CDC Shaker

JLT CAI + CDC Shaker
For anyone who is considering an aftermarket CAI and has or wants a CDC Shaker it just takes a little thinking and it's an easy mod. I have seen similar shaker mods done with flex tubing which works great too.
I just upgraded to a JLT CAI and I already had my Shaker in place, so it was an easy job to direct the shaker air into the CAI.

I initially added the "Shaker" because of cosmetics and I liked a scoop that at least didin't look glued on like some of the other body stuff on my car.
It does indeed pass outside air into the CAI which is alwas a good thing to have an alternate fresh air source when you are WOT. Do you gain any HP, NO but outside air is always welcome to a screaming motor.
I ran this Shaker with a K&N CAI and at cleaning time you could see deposits from the outside at the tube outlet on the elemant. How much air at speed? Who knows!
The original intent of my thread was not to necessarily sell Shakers for CDC but was merely a simple demonstration in problem solving in adjusting the CDC to the JLT. This information was intended for individuals who are undecided about CAI and Shaker combinations, or doubt their fabricating skills. That's all....
EDIT: BTW.. Since I got my Hot Rod cams installed last week my shaker shakes a LOT....

Don't listen to these non-Shaker peeps, they're a fan of tacked on hood scoops which do absolutely nothing.
