I have the JLT2 and Xcal from brenspeed. The car pulls alot harder, and shifts better(auto). ITs great.

Jay,

All in all, I am not disappointed with the quality of your kit, my tuner's knowledge, or any of the parts in general. I do not mean to degrade any person's parts or knowledge, I just want to be sure that my car is performing like it should be with these parts installed.

Thanks for your concern, once we get more dyno time I'll post back with the results.

I totally understand and no degrade taken. This is what these forums are for.
Keep us informed on you progress.

Jay

I just got my JLT and X-cal from Brent, unfortunately it's winter here so I wont know what the difference is until spring. I envy all you people still driving your cars.
i the mean time I'll just keep buying stuff for it

I would agree that it is not the CAI. I went through 8+ tunes before I found Doug at Bamachips. His tune was leaps above the others(some of the tunes I tried worked great in others cars). No dyno to prove anything but I could feel it instantly. Keep plugging away at it. You will find a combo that your car really likes. There are some great tuners on this board that can help.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully xetrov (the dude who started this thread) can get better response out of his combo too along with me.

I don't think that you need to switch the intake. I have the jltII/xcal2 combo with the brenspeed tunes and went from 98mph to 102mph in the 1/4 and the old buttometer can tell a huge difference. BTW, the two different runs were almost equal air temp/quality.
There is no reason to swap cold air systems. I would look at the tune first. You can get a bad tune and need to send it back to breenspeed and have him put it in his car to check it.

I sought out another tuner and, after using their tune, have noticed a difference. I'm not able to put it on a dyno yet, but I do definately notice a difference. It drives smooth too. It is an 87 octane tune though, so i'll probably be getting a 93 soon.

This weekend I will also be installing the Pypes Offroad H-Pipe and SLP Loudmouths that finally arrived today. Man these things are beautiful.
