My 2 cents are to wait a little bit until the CEL issues are resolved for sure. I will buy one once I am convinced that the issues have been fixed. I waited 4 months for my car, I can wait a few weeks for an intake. Be patient!

I've been running the JLT for a few weeks now and no CEL at all. Never had a problem, it is a quality kit. When combined with the SCT DTP tune is gives the car great power.

I think I saw Jay write that he has installed the MAF with a glue now so it won't cause a CEL.

It's the rubber grommets that he is gluing in now, not the MAF. The glue simply holds the grommets in place so they don't pull out while they're being tightened. Since they expand as they're tightened, if you use the "back and forth" method to tighten, you should be in good shape.

I consider this problem to be a very minor issue that has now been addressed. I will also say the increase in power from my JLT is very, very noticeable. Not only is the off the line performance better, but acceleration at freeway speed is dramatically improved.

I add that I have no comparison to any other CAI as this is the only one I have purchased and installed.

Pretty bad when we have to add a disclaimer to our posts.

I received mine yesterday, but won't put it on until April 2nd. I will be taking the car to Delk performance that Saturday for a complete dyno tune with the following mods in place:

JLT Intake
Steeda Underdrive Pullies
4.10 gears
Bassani Axle-Back

Delk is a Diablo ChipMaster Revolution dealer, so we will be working with the Predator unit that day. I will let everyone know what we find out.

I installed the JLT system yesterday making sure to keep pressure on the sensor and tightening back and forth. The inserts are NOT glued and the didn't baloon out. 50 miles and no CEL issues.

CEL = Check Engine Light

Some folks were having a problem with the sensor not sealing properly. Jay over at JLT is now glueing all the rubber nutplates into the tube so this shouldn't be an issue anymore. I would still recomment tightening back and forth like a torque pattern.

I don't see what the big fuss is about. It appears as if any of us could build one of these. This is no offense to Jay I hope. Other than the cost of the MAF housing and filter, everything else looks pretty cheap. Although, the housing itself can get pricey.

Why doesn't anyone care about K&N anymore. They have top quality parts and the price isn't that bad. Their R&D is phenominal.

Disclaimer: I don't work at K&N

There is a thread somewhere where a guy is building one. Predictions already say it will be over $150. Plus the labor and tools involved.
