That sounds perfect, like an old cammed big block...I believe this car was highly modified, if it was the same car off of their site.

I JUST installed Derek's JBA LT Headers and off road H pipe on my car, I have the headers and Magnaflow Axelback, the sound is nice, not to loud, but muscular. I like it a lot!!

That is encouraging. I will be testing some Magnaflows this week with my LTs. I don't like the way it sounds with the LMs. It's not the volume that bothers me, it is the "crop duster" sound (similar to that JBA clip above... but they didn't rev it high enough... it gets worse).

I have part of the set up. I have FLows with an off road H and I love the sound. Get compliments all the time. I guess headers really put some sound out. DId you add everything all at once or partially one at a time?

If you are asking me, I have had the LMs for seceral months (love them!). I put on the LTs two weeks ago, and that is when the combined sound went sour.

Glad to hear you like them, I am really missing the sound of our car with those pipes, not to mention the crisp throttle response that you get without cats.

Derek,
You made an interesting comment about your car having better throttle responce with the Long tubes. I find that very interesting. Please tell us more!!!!!!!!!!

I just put on my h-pipe with flowmasters and it sounds great, until 2500 rpms. As soon as it hits 2500 it goes from deep flowmaster rumble to bumble bee high pitched. It really is noticeable from inside the car and its driving me nuts. I guess I'm better off with the factory h-pipe if I want that Flowmaster sound. Whats the deal with the flows and the high picthed sound? It only does it right when it hits 2500 rpms under load and the trumpety high pitched sound lasts for about a few seconds then goes away.

I have hi-flow cats that came with my LTs, and I have tried both the X-pipe and the factory H, and I get the same trumpeting thing you do (with LMs). I am expecting delivery of some Magnaflows this afternoon, and I hope to test them out soon to see how they sound.

I believe it has to do with the VCT. It has nothing to do with the Aftermarket or Factory H-pipe,they both sound the same way. But I did notice if you still have the Charge-Motion Control Plates the sound is worse.

Don please let us know what you find out.
