I installed my JBA Long tube header,H Pipe (no cats) and Flowmaster American Thunder mufflers and it sounds like crap. The system is very loud. I start my Stang up in the morning and my buddy 2 streets over can hear it. IT IS LOUD. It's not a deep rumble, the system sounds like the old Cherry Bomb glass packs of the 70s. At ldle is quiets down to a rumble but when it hits 2500 rpm it gets loud and more high pitched. Anyone else have this setup?

Not the same exact setup, but it sounds like I ended up with a similar result. Next week, I going to swap out my LMs for Magnaflows and see how it sounds.

It sounds like Glasspack or Cherry Bomb mufflers. That is the best way for me to discribe it. They are way loud. at partial throttle they are loud, not a rumble. It is not the classic Flowmaster sound. I had Flowmasters on my 84 GT and they did not sound like this and they were 2 chambered

At least there are others that know what I warned about when cutting out the cats.

Does it sound like a "propeller plane" ...bap-bap-bap-bap... at medium throttle? Mine is OK at idle or light throttle, and then again at WOT, but it's like a fart can on steroids in the middle.

i have borlas and i think they sound great. ive gotten alot of complements with that setup. also take in cosideration that the sound from the inside the car is not the same outside the car. have a buddy drive it so you could listen to them.

Don't do it. I have the same set up and switched from MACS to Flows. They are both way loud. The MACS sounded 10 times worse. I have alot of people compliment the sound of my exhaust with the Flows. I am not sold, although it does sound good at high RPM's. Actually, the stock mufflers sound great with this set up. I had them on while waiting for the Flows. I am thinking of going back to them before my neighbors form a linch mob. Give them a try if you still have them. They actually seemed to perform better also. I have no dyno proof.

Why not give JBA's AB's a try. Surely they wouldn't want their own mufflers to sound like crap on their own system.

That sound clips sounds alot better but it could be deceiving. I expected a deep rumble until WOT,not sounding like the clips at 2500 rpm
