JBA Headers

Did a search and did not find much. Anyone using the JBA shorties and finding any improvement on the dyno?

I have them these are my results:

BONE STOCK:
263.87rwhp

K&N Intake (w/ Muffler Delete):
279.13rwhp

Added JBA Shorty Cat4Ward Equal Length Headers:
289.1rwhp 297rwtq

Havent dynoed with a retune yet, so all of those numbers are without a tune.

I think he is at work, so I'll answer that-

They are CARB legal, but here in CA are emissions laws are so tight that even with the CARB number on them, they are still illegal.

SurnSoCal - thanks for the response. Does anyone know if they would be legal in TX?

Also, how much do the JBA Shorty Cat4Ward Equal Lenght Headers costs?

Stillen has the best prices I have seen $649.00 in SS, a bit more in ceramic coat. They are CARB approved, so they are 50 state legal ... even here in Texas (Cypress)

I am kind of impressed by the numbers rrobello got. When I talked to BBK about theirs, they were not encouraging stating that theirs were not much better than stock.

Nice find. But I think you mean $569 in SS with Ceramic, and $469 in SS w/o Ceramic.

Those prices reall blow Stillens away.

not on mine, JBA used my car for R&D so not only did I get them for free they installed them as well, but we did install Richards ourselves, piece of cake, even after several beers, it took us about 5 hours start to finish doing the headers, xpipe and something else I cant remember. There is a write up we did if you do a search. Im going to sleep so maybe tomorrow if you cant find it Ill search for it.

Thanks, I did. Interesting photo expose.

So if you install these equal length JBS shorties, and stay with the stock down pipe, where is the hook up for the sensors?

the O2 sensors? they are on the stock down pipe still (on or after the cats I cant remember) since you dont have to do anything to that piece to install the headers other than unbolt the headers from the down pipe and rebolt it back to the new ones.

hi rrobello...

its seems like the hp/torq gain is pretty significant and its easy since you still use stock cats/h-pipe...

if you go LT headers, let me know, i'll buy your JBAs haha

let us know what you end up doing...
