It seems like you put enough time into this where it would have been cheaper to buy a JLT. You do get the pride of knowing you made it yourself when you open the hood.

He could have gone out and bought a C&L or a Steeda one as well. I think your ladder hit the mark!

Impressive work, and a great R&D project. I'm definately following this topic. I hope it adds 40 hp.

I hope he stumbles across something and just blows them all out of the water. He could then sell his idea to one of them.
AH-HA! George said he didn't plan on making any more in mass! He just plans on selling his idea. All I can say George is PATENT whatever you do. Just to cover the bases.
So far, it's better than some others b/c it's plastic and not metallic. Better for heat.

Looks very similar to some other name brand intakes  A lot of people on here get hung up on plastic intake tubes. If you live in Arizona and/or do a lot of stop and go driving, the tube might get "heat soaked". I had a CAI intake on my other car and I checked it a few times after driving. It was at or near the ambient air temperature. I bet if you tested it on the 05 GT, you would find the exact result. My opinion is that intakes are very similar. Unless it's a ram-air intake, something like the VaraRam system for the C5's, they produce very similar hp. Quality and price is the way I shop for intake systems.

Try JB weld for this kind of stuff. It can used to repair engine blocks. Strongest
stuff I've ever used, and I've tried everything. Axle on my tractor broke, no problem just cleaned it good, JB weld, held up so far with hundreds of pounds
on it.

I've heard there's a great patent lawyer out in California.....goes by the name of Frank Weyer, might want to give him a call.

Delrin is a low friction plastic used to make bearings. I doubt a Delrin MAF housing could be glued to the inlet pipe. My goal is to make 1 for myself, I don't intend to mass produce these as I don't have the time. I work for a defence contractor making spare engine parts for the Apache, Blackhawk, and Super Cobra Helicopters. We have so much work I barely have any time to spare.
[/b][/quote]

Delrin® resins offer superior mechanical properties including high strength and rigidity over a broad temperature range, toughness and resistance to repeated impact and good electrical insulation. The resins are used extensively in injection molding and offer excellent thermal stability.

I have a 6 OD x 10 foot bar.

You must work for GE.

The GE CT7 is also used in the Bell 214ST an awsome sight if you ever get to see one.
