Installed original 40 Series Flowmasters
Originally I had the Flowmaster American Thunder axlebacks on my Mustang with a Pypes o/r h-pipe. I wanted to see how it would sound with the "original" 40 Series Flows because it still wasnt quite the sound I was looking for, so I had them installed and man....what a difference!! They are so much deeper sounding than the AT's. Volume is about the same, it may even be a bit quieter....but it sounds so smooth and it doesnt make that trumpet sound all the time. Well, it still does at 2500 rpm, but not at bad as the AT's. I think if you are looking for that Flowmaster sound and you have an o/r setup...these are the way to go! I am very satisfied!! The guy who put them on made them so I can take them off if I want to. He charged me $285, which was a pretty sweet deal if you ask me. He put on a set of 2.5" tips and it looks just like stock. I really wasnt much for the big 4" tips anyway.

Hey guys, sorry for the delayed response. I will try to get some pics up, but I dont have any way to get a sound clip right now. All I can say is if you have an o/r setup with the AT Flows, the original 40's are much deeper and mellow. I really like it!
They are mounted in the same location as before. Essentially the guy who made them, made them just like any regular axleback kit. I can take them off if I want, just like before. He did an awesome job. It looks better than the kit from Flowmaster.

I am in southeast Indiana. If you are anywhere near West Lafayette, I will be up there visiting Purdue in a couple weeks to party. Maybe you could hear it then? Then we will get hammered. haha.
I am in the process of getting some clips made for you guys.

I finally got around to getting a clip. I recorded it with my camera and it was kinda windy outside. Hopefully you can at least get an idea of how it sounds.
