Installed K&N Intake, is it possible?
I'm only 22 but I have grown up in a car enthusiast family (my father imported a Ferrari when I was about 7 which was at the time illegal in the U.S.) and have always read a lot about cars. One thing I have read and come to understand is that when you add 8-15 horsepower (or even up to 20), you can't really FEEL the difference in speed, and that anything you're truly feeling is just placebo. And I agreed with that notion when I had a cold air intake installed in my first car a Honda Accord and then again with my Dodge Durango. Now I have my '05 Mustang GT and just got the K&N Cold Air Intake installed, and for some reason, I think I really do feel it!! How much power does this thing really add, and is it possible I feel a substantial gain? It is the only performance mod I have currently. Let me know what you guys thinks.
Well for a device that adds throttle response and say 10-15RWHP...is more of an increase at the crank...
So..can you tell the difference between a 300hp car and a 320hp car?
Probably at first if you drive them back to back...but after a while...it feels the same...

Haha that's funny about air conditioning but it also sucks, because I live in Ft Lauderdale, Florida so I never, ever have the air conditioning off. Does it make a difference how hard it is blowing? I mean somtimes I get cold in the car and turn it real low, just on head/feet and on 1, but as anyone knows in south FL as soon as you turn the AC completely off, you just feel hot and gross.
The fan speed won't matter, but the temp control does.
Try turning the fan up to 4 but turn the temp control to about the 9 or 10 o'clock position. The air won't be as cold, but since it's blowing harder on you, it'll feel a little colder. (wind chill even works in the summer)
