Install Eh20 & went into failsafe
Install went well and I got it all wired up with the relay placed next to the battery (between battery & fender) so it's hidden. I was able to catch all the coolant (about 2 gallons) as a lot came out when I pulled the pump even though I drained the radiator completly. Refilled by removing the large plug on the top rad hose (drivers side) and was able to completly return all coolant. Checked operation of the electric pump and it was buzzing just fine. Started the engine, put heater on full hot, fan on high and let the engine warm up. Then we took it out for short test drive. Got about 50 feet and it went into failsafe. Returned home, disconnect neg on battery for about 20 mins. Reconnect, start and let idle for a while longer watched temp gauge move to center. Took another drive and no failsafe.
Did the computer think I was out of coolant (possible air trapped in system)? Wonder why the failsafe?

Did you tap a fuse for power, or one of the switched lines outside the fusebox. I have heard where some have tapped the fuel pump fuse, and it caused problems. When I did mine yesterday, I tapped into the harness going into the fusebox (one of the red wires shown). So far, no issues at all.
On a side note, I only lost about a quart of coolant, and I didn't drain anything first. If you are quick, you can pull the stock pump out and stick the eH2O pump in before you lose much coolant at all.

Here's what my wiring ended up looking like.
Unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to really diagnose your problem until the check engine light comes on and see what the code is. It will happen sooner or later. Just keep an eye on your water temp and make sure it doesn't overheat.
I am going to move where the relay sense wire hooks up to from the red wire from the fuse box to at fuse tap on fuse 42 and see if that fixes it. Not knowing what the wire is for and tapping into it probably wan't the smartest thing to do. Let you know what happens.
