I doubt you can get anything done inside a week, unfortunately.

I've noticed on Vortech's website there is an asterisk noting that their superchargers are not legal for use in highway driven cars in California. Is this going to be true for most of the superchargers for the 2005 Stang? I hope not.

Most should be 50-state legal, I would think.

most will not be legal in california as they would have to pay a lot of money for the CARB approval.... just not worth it to most companies cause it only applies to California. The worst part is that it may still pass emmisions but without the CARB sticker you will be failed, but the good news is that we dont have to smog our new cars for 5 years as far as i know

So far, the only one that I "think" is CARB legal is the Saleen charger...

I think that they had to get it tested because it is used in the extream 2005 model...

If I add a charger, this is the one that I want......Period....

Saleen Super Charger...

"The overall efficiency gains in the engine, the supercharger and the intercooler mean the Saleen supercharged 4.6, 3V-V8 produces more horsepower and torque at a less stressful 4-5 psi boost – A new 2005 GT Mustang can expect to generate 400 HP and 420 lbs of torque."

wow, I didn't realize the saleen supercharger was running at only 4-5 psi... that seems rather low.

The PSI is low because the twin screw is more efficient at mixing the charge before it is injected into the chamber. 400hp with only 5psi is a big plus in my book becaue it will significantly reduce heating in the engine.....

I could be wrong, but I think Saleen has a winner here....

Not on the stock bottom end, or at least not for very long.

be may 4th to see a procharger, thats what the local dealer told me, said they have to fill orders, and take 2 weeks min to get, and if you want one get one now, the pipe that goes to tb going from powercoated metal, to plastic, and kit price gonna jump about 800 bux after this initial production run

looks like im just gonna stick with the measly 462 hp vortech unit
