Nope, it was pushing about 8psi if I remember right. It was tough to concentrate...what with seeing step-daddy-to-be clinging to anything he could hold onto, the sweet, sweet whine of the blower, and the white stripes in the center of the interstate start to blur and turn solid

No offense Steve, but that struck me funny.... you coulda atleast have said "my friends GT500" or something...
What can I say? I'm getting some pretty cool in-laws. She traded in her Beautiful Red '66 Fastback for the GT500, Torch Red with black stripes. Her daily driver is a Torch Red w/black stripes '06 GT. Daddy's show car is a '69 Camaro with mystichrome/pearl painted flames on the front. Wish I had $20K for paint.

Adam

Sorry, I should have read closer, I did not take in account you were not running a twin screw blower. Your boost is very non linear like a turbo, since the compressor is same technology.

Just curious, how much total boost are you getting?

The starting in second was a good idea, no traction problems. It's just hard to tell if the car is faster that way. I guess the only way to test it is go to the track. Is it bad for the car starting in second gear off the line?

The car is likely not faster starting in 2nd gear...... should be OK on the car as long as you're not slipping the clutch that much. My advice is to get used to 2nd gear.... I start in 2nd all the time, including all of my launches and donuts. LOL you should see the smoke coming off the tires after launching in 2nd right into a couple of 360's.

starting off in 2nd? I'd rather get shallower gears.
