How long do the stock Perrelli tires last?

I have about 8000 miles on them and they still got a lot of tread left on em.

I promissed myself I would get new rims and tires when the stock ones wear out.

I guess I'm getting impatient

I have Pirelli PZeroNero tires on my 2006 GT, and they are awesome. They get lots of grip and last a long time. They should last (under spirited driving conditions) between 16,000 and 22,000 miles, longer it you drive normal. Now, if you just happen to accidentaly slip and smoke the crap out of them every once and a while every day, they just might not last the winter. Have fun!!

I do smoke the crap out of them and it makes no difference. These things are going to outlast the universe.

ummm, those stock Pirellis really suck for grip, its a decent all-weather tire though. I have plenty of life left in mine with about 17000 miles on em and with about 40 drags and smokey burnouts on them. Im sure they can last till 30k but I wont be using them at the track anymore. They are useless now for proper launches.

Looks like I'll be replacing them before they're worn out.

Can't wait that long.

Getting me some 18x9 rims with good gripping tires. These stock Perellis suck big time - no grip at all.

I plan to replace the stock Pirellis in Jan, after the holidays. They have almost 9000 miles on them and still grip very good when dry, but they're dangerous in the wet. Last night I was aquaplanning on 1/2" deep puddles even at 50 mph!
I'm going for the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3, albeit they're supposed to be more noisy.

Still the tires are best suited for dry weather. I have 18,000 on mine and they still have a bunch of tread left after 40+ launches at the track. All the good grip on the tires are pretty much gone though and I would get way better ETs at the track with new tires. I'm getting new track tires anyway. I would think I could get about 30,000 miles on those tires at least. I plan on putting them back on the the spring and driving them until next winter. They'll have a good 40,000 miles on them by then.

well i know this is off topic. But my 05 came with pirellis on the 17 bright machined. now my 06 is here and it has bfgoodrich kdws on the 18 polished. I was surprised to see them not be pirellis. I am glad its the kdws, just wish a little wider.

Have 30k on them & have 1/2 tread left. Run them hard, in a road racing style VS drag racing. But I smoke them a couple times a week.

So in theory they should last 45K-60K.

Well, I'm not going to wait that long.

In one year, I put only 8000 miles on my 05GT.

Mine lasted 1,365 miles... before I yanked them off and put on the Nittos.

I've about 12,000 miles on mine, with lots of donuts and smokey burnouts. They've been rotated once and are about half spent. Terrible tires for rain, I can hardly keep up with highway traffic without aquaplaning through corners. I'm only one proper burnout away from replacing them :banana2:

How do you do burnouts in an automatic?

It's easier with an auto than a stick.

A little brake pressure, roll into the throttle and when the tires break loose, bring the rpms up to 5K-6K. Keep just enough brake pressure to keep from rolling forward. Voila!!! Up in Smoke!
