How I fixed: Door Panel Removal & Window Stop Adjustment.
After my car was repainted (it was damaged in a winter storm), the driver window would not fully retract into the door. At least ½ inch of the window stuck up above the top of the door (when the window was down).
The window would also catch on the plastic rain drip trim if I opened the door too fast. I didn't want the body shop or dealer messing with my car again so I fixed it myself.
I’m not a mechanic so getting the door panel off and fixing this was a huge success for me.
Attached is a Pdf file showing what I did.

You know that in some case's if all power was disconnected that the windows could loose thier calibration ? my 10 yr old son taught me he whipped out the book and put window ll way down then all way up while still holding the switch for 3 seconds then it worked properly. I'm still waiting for my Adobe to update to read your pdf file. glad you made out ok but its good to always ask for help, so you don't get hurt or void warrntys and stuff.

I tried recalibrating numerous times.
What I didn't mention in the original post was that the driver window was scratched in the storm and had to be replaced. I think the tech at the body shop just mounted the whole window too high.
