well i smoke the crap out of a charger r/t ....could not keep up with me....slamming the gear and chirping the rear tires was great......i like to play on the street..i`m not going to lie i know there is a time and a place...call me what you want but there is nothing like doing it on the streets....the only diffrence from the 60`s and 70`s when my dad did it ...is that if you get caught it gonna cost alot more than an arm and a leg to have a car.....they used to shut down the parkways and race that`s the way it was....things have changed some for the better some for the worst...the main problem is they keep knocking down the tracks and taking them away from us so we really have no place to go but the street............

When I was a kid thats what we did, every friday night. Everyone who had a fast car or thought it was fast drove into town and cruised "the circuit"...two lanes seperated by a grass curbed median going down one side of town and the main drag 3 lanes going down the middle back to the starting point.
Once a year pro-street (pretty close to pro-stock if you ask me) would come to town and do the same thing. Driving up and down the streets showing off their fast a$5 cars.... It was great.
that was back then and in a much smaller place than Los Angeles...
these days you get that many people together and your asking for trouble.
sidenote: I'm not THAT old.. the time i'm referring to was in the early 80's...
