This thing's faaaaasssst now I just installed the JLT CAI with SCT and what a HUGH difference!! The car LUNGES forward now, has an awesome CAI growl, accelerates crisper, and just feels much faster and seems to rev higher as well. Just a 5 mile SOP opinion for now - but am going to install the ud pullies and x - pipe and head to the tuners!! I'll post more results as I get them and see if I can snap a pic of the JLT installed B)

PS For those of you who have an aftermarket CAI - how did you reinstall the HC trap? I'm having to wrap mine in duct tape so it fits snugly in the larger intake tube....

Man I can't stop grinning..... B)

Hotlap, Do you have a phone number and a name of where and who I can order the JLT CAI?
I do want to get this and add it to my Stang. I already have the SCT Tune and it worked well even with-out any other changes.

I don't think you reinstall the hydrocarbon trap. The idea is to remove all restrictions possible in the path of the intake airflow. That's why it didn't fit back in. As far as I know all of the flashes that come with the tuners on the market assume you have removed it.

HOTLAP, Im glad you liked the kit. Did you get the DTP tune with it? I received my JLT the other day and plan on installing it this weekend, I can't wait to see how she runs. By the looks of the kit it is made for performance.

Soak it overnite in left turnsignal fluid....it will swell up!

It's going to have to swell up a hugh amount to fit inside the JLT!

Craig - yes it did come with the DTP tune for 87 and 91 octane. What exactly is the DTP Tune? I have heard of it but never knew where it came from? From what Jay was saying it is supposed to be good for CAI, ud pullies, Xpipe (with cats) and exhaust....I'm going to have mine dyno'd and calibrated anyways.
thx

By the way - did you check your cable - SCT sent the wrong ones out in quite a few of their kits - Jay had to contact them and have them overnight the correct cable to me....be sure the one you have will plug into the SCT unit....I had two female ends (man wouldn't that be paradise oops - I know I'm going to get slapped for that one B) ) and had to have the cable with the male plug sent...

You got that - the JLT is one Big a@@ed pipe!! That thing looks mean just hanging there and I've noticed the air filter just fits between the hoodliner and fender well!

Glad you got the cable and you like it. I alway worry that others will have different results, but between you and the others it's a go!!!
Let us know the dyno #'s when you do it.
Thanks for the buisness and the praise.
