HiFlo Cats Question

Hello everyone I just bought a new Pypes Crossover X pipe from a friend for $60 and I also want to add a set of Hi-Flow Cats (Either Pypes or Magnaflow) in place of the stock Cats.

My question is what size specs should I order to ensure they fit properly?

Thanks for your time, and I will be sure to get up a before (Stingers Only) and after video. (Pypes X, HiFlo Cats, and Stingers)

I think new mid-pipes sound better with highflow cat's. Also they eliminate the trumpet's

the cats are really the only big drawback to the stock exhaust...There was a guy that got almost 15hp/tq by switching to an X with hiflo cats. Enough said.

But anyways does anyone have the measurements of the stock cats, or know the correct model number of a hiflo cat that will fit in the stock location with a pypes x crossover?

Also...Below is a video of a GT with SLP Catted X pipe and SLP Powerflo Axleback. Listen to that, then go look up a sound clip of a GT with just a Powerflo (Borla Stinger, Steeda, FRPP TypeS All basically the same thing) Axleback. The X with hiflo cats makes a pretty big difference, especially judging from that clip.

This is the overall sound I am looking for, its a tad on the raspy but I love it.

Car filming is RRobello with JBA shorty headers and SLP. Car in front is me; JBA Shorty headers, Bassani X pipe (no cats), and SLP

Here's my car same set up- JBA shorty headers, Bassani Xpipe uncatted, and SLPs.

Here's my car with the bassani hi-flow cats put on the same set up (sound quality isn't great, doesn't do the set up justice)

I prefer the cats on....not as obnoxious but still the same sound above 4k RPM

You need to send a PM to EmperorJordan, and he'll set you up with pricing and part numebrs for the MagnaFlow Hi-Flows.

I thought the stock cats weren't that restrictive to begin with..

I have seen a dyno sheet with cats and cats removed, the difference was 8hp hetween the stock cats and no cats.
I would expect hi flow to fall some where in between most likely closer to the stock cats hp level.

Yea I will try to find it, it was from a couple months ago at the dyno day of our local car club.

I think it was like 8 at the wheels with the X and about 5-6 more with the hi-flos installed.
