"Hiccup"
Has anyone experienced a "hiccup," if you will, when you're on the highway and down shift to pass someone? On more than one occassion I have been driving around 70 mph for awhile and will come to a situation where I need to down shift to get around someone and my car will bog or "hiccup" once or twice but will then take off. Anyone know what this could be related to. I initially thought it could be the traction control but I can't ever seem to look over to see if thats it (too focused on passing). Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

It has just started happening after turning 5,000 miles. Would my mods have caused a problem with the fuel pump?

Thanks. Contacted the service department and they're supposed to call me back. Hope my mods won't be an issue.
Hey OKCMustangGT where abouts in OKC do you reside. I'm originally from Edmond and was up there this past weekend for Dad's day.

I need to take mine in for this as well, just getting lazy lol. Mods "shouldn't" be an issue as this is happening to unmodded Stangs as well.

Could this be my problem that I described in this thread?

This doesn't sound like your problem. This happens to me when I down shift on the highway and it is a violent bucking.

I found for mine, it was the traction control. When I turned off the traction control, the sudden drop of power stopped. It happened to me most often on the freeway most often when I floor it to pass someone, the power would completely cut off for a split second (sometimes twice in quick succession, 'bucking' I would call it) and then power on through. I turned off the traction control, and has never happened again.

I Have No Life
Will...
I have the same thing, and I think its the same problem.
Only it behaves differently between a start... or a pass at highway speeds...
I get the 'bucking' when after about a 2 hour drive, I either floor it, or downshift and floor it.
It is NOT traction control (it'll happen in 5th as well just trying to pass)
I'm going to talk to my dealership about the TSB...
Luckily I have not had it happen at a stop light...
