just received my tunes from Doug and having issues downloading. i downloaded latest live load and driver as instructed but when i get to dowloading the tunes in to the x-cal i get a "file download FAILED" message. Any ideas how to deal with this???

 

If you're sure you have the software required and just as importantly the latest drivers for your operating system, then you could try posting on the SCT website or get ahold of Doug (good luck with that, seems he's a hard guy to get ahold of- that's why I stuck with Brenspeed).

thanks Tom. surprisingly, i received my tunes today after placing the order friday. so the turn around was quick but im jinxed i guess . i left a voice msg and sent email already. i'll try the SCT website

 

SCT forums should get you straightened out...I ordered a race tune last week got it today but i messed up and got the SCT and not diablo so we will see how long til i get the other one.....its completely worth the wait...i assure you that!

 

I had a similar problem with my x cal 2 for my F150, I contacted sct and they were able to recover the files for me.

 

i sure hope they can help. ive been looking around the website and also noticed that the manual that came with my tuner says it is a Xcal2 SF vice a vanilla xcal 2. does anybody know if that makes a difference on how the files download/upload?
