I had no idea this would fit the 05-09's.

Yes I have an older modified Steeda on mine, I also like the tower brackets. I think I may go for the Alutec look down the road but keep my tower brackets some how. I might have ROUSH CNC'd over the Alutec logo haha the'll love that!

Looking for 140+ trap speeds on new build and we have no plans for STB, but then the car lives just 1/4 at a time and in a straight line.

Daughter just bought a Factory 2010 brace off Ebay. I have a 2008 Bullitt. The bullitt brace clears my Midwest plenum cover with plenty of room to spare.

Ford made the strut tower brace standard with the optional 19 inch wheels or the track pack in 2010. Anything that stiffens the front subframe will contribute to better handling.

Will the '10 brace fit under the 05-09 hoods?

According to the link:
The brace will press into the hood insulation on 2005-2007 GTs, but will not bend the hood.

Are you talking about this STB?

It definitely looks awesome, as well as a stong, well-constructed piece but, man, it's expensive as hell!

I recently installed the STB from the FRPP FR3 handling package on my '07 GT. Had to notch the engine cover (used a round file) for clearance, so now the STB bars sit in a pair of channels in the engine cover with about a millimeter of clearance. Not ideal, but I got the STB for free and really wanted to keep the engine cover.

My dad has an 09 GT/CS convertible and he got the Bullitt STB as a x-mas gift. His hood liner has the grooves for it already and it clears the intake cover fine. I have an 05 GT and I bought the same STB but I bought the Bullitt hoodliner. For the price (KC) and it being a Ford Racing part I think that STB is the best IMO.

Just ordered the Alutec brace, should clear the Kenne Bell, but might look at an option to cover the Alutec logo on top. Not a big fan of advertising.

I hated that I had to remove my old Strange STB for the Kenne Bell to fit, I could really tell a difference with it on there, car felt much tighter, less flex.

I checked on the Alutec, a vendor stated it would not clear.

The bullitt seems to be the one to get, I was not aware the '10 brace would fit. Will the '10 brace fit an '09 without pressing into the hood?

Interesting, I've seen pics of an Alutec clearing a Roush supercharger, and a vendor's description stating it would clear a Kenne Bell. I can't imagine that the plenum cover sticks up higher than that, but maybe it does.

Here is a pic of what looks like a plenum cover with an Alutec.

I had an Alutek brace and tried it on my '08GT with the plenum cover. It rubs the cover and is not a good fit. I sold it and got the Bullitt brace which clears just fine.

Finally found a STB to fit over the KB without lower motor mounts! I got a FRPP Bullitt brace and it fits nicely over the KB. Clears the blower by about an inch, easy. It does rub a tad on the hose clamp on the intake tube, but I'm playing with the fittings/hose clamps and can slide a piece of paper under there now. So it is barelly touch, and shouldn't affect anything. This the fourth one I've tried, glad to find one that finally works!

I might go ahead and get the lowering mounts, as Mark suggested. Another half inch or so should make every thing perfect.
