Help me choose the best air intake and tune it!
i've been through almost every single post on every forum i know trying to find a definitive answer as to what's the best Air intake to bolt on, paired with a tune to add the most power on the rear wheels.
a friend of mine here in Dubai using K&N and a custom predator tune, got 286rwhp.
since then i'm looking for dyno sheets showing baseline and after the air-intake installation and tune, to finally decide which air intake makes more power, irrespective of the cost or the bling factor.
can you put this question to rest, posting facts based on your personal experience and dyno sheets? no fake advertising or speculations please.. i'm pretty lost as it is!
it's also worth mentioning that fuel in Dubai is rated at 95 and 98 RON ( 87 and 90 MON) so unless i'm mistaken about my conversions, the 93 octane tune is not usable without a fuel additive.

I'm going to go ahead and say what more than likely the majority will. Most people have gone with C&L or JLT. Me personally I have the K&N which doesn't require a tune but I'll be getting a tune shortly anyways. I think they all pretty much make about the same give or take a few so just get whichever one you think looks best or whatever company you trust most. Also do a search on intakes you'll find plenty of info. Here's a article from an issue of 5.0 Mustang where they compared 11 of the most common S-197 intakes.

My recommendation would be to just leave Dubai. Any place else you move will automatically provide you with cooler air. Joking of course. My best friend moved over there 6 months ago to fly for Emirates and seems to love Dubai. Back on topic though I am going with JLT based on Doug at Bamatunes recomendation on what I was looking for.

so based on the link LEO_06GT provided.. and all the feedback here, JLT is indeed the best of the bunch, although the quality may not be a match to the rest, but it's one of the cheapest yet produces the most significant gains..
i'm sold
thanks guys
p.s: now i'm on a similar quest to find the best exhaust system upgrade in terms of performance here
