Header gasket

I ordered Mac longtubes and forgot about the header gasket. I should order new ones right? The only gaskets I see on brenspeeds site are for kooks? Thanks

Exhaust leaks at the manifold can warp valves because they suck in cold air.

Git 'er dun!

They might work but I don't know if manifold gaskets mate perfectly with the headers. Do they fit in a recess in the head? Or is the head a flush mount design?

Its been years but as I remember they are a sort of metal material that compress as you torque the header down.

I got them today and no gaskets. I'm sure if i paid $1,400 for a complete setup I would have gotten gaskets I heard you can reuse the factory gaskets but I will most likely pick up some stock steel ones from a local Ford dealer. Thanks

Maybe it was a mis-pick - give them a call. I would think with flush mount you have a bit more flexability. As long as all the header mounting surfaces are completely covered you should be fine and of course the manifold studs are going to position everything correctly.

Definitely get new ones.

Re-use your factory gaskets.

They've already been compressed to the manifold configuration - not the header. Why cheap out and risk warped valves?

The factory ones suck they come two pieces per side. My borla headers came with nice gaskets that seal well. Get a set of them from summit/kegs etc...
