I have an appointment for a few dyno pulls in 1 hour, I plan to make at least three pulls with different tunes to find my optimum tune for the drag strip and street. My first pull on the dyno was with less than 1000 miles and the only mods were the MMR intake and some JBA axle back mufflers and no tune to correct A/F. I nettted 273 rwhp. I will be back after the pull to post my gains.

I'd like to see how you do Dereck. From what I experianced, one of the key's to geting your HP is getting your spark advance at 33-34 degree's at WOT... While at the same time keeping your A/F ratio around 12.9:1 at WOT. Hope it goes well for you!

Looking forward to hearing the results as well.....yesterday's track date has me leaning toward doing some more work to quicken mine up. All I've been doing is taking it to car shows the past few months...LOL

Well, here are the results. Sorry I don't have a scanner so black and white will have to do unless I can get a good digital photo.

Run conditions: 68.07 degrees F, 28.90 in-Hg, SAE: 1.01, Dynojet.

Max rear wheel horsepower= 295.27
Max rear wheel torque= 310.26

A/F measured at the H-pipe was pretty consistently 13.6:1

I used a "canned" tune from MDmotorsports that is made for the MMR Intake, I was running 93 octane fuel with an 87 octane tune. I allowed the engine to cool for the final run that produced the most hp wich proved to be good for about 5 hp and 10 ft/lb of torque.

Original numbers DIN showed 303 rwhp and 318 rwtq. As you know though the SAE numbers should be the ones to compare against other dyno pulls.

Good number's Derek! That's about what I came in at before I fine tuned. Do you have a way to check the spark advance at WOT?

Justin, I don't know how to check spark advance. I can change some things with my tune with my home pc. I can change wide open throttle timing up 2 more degrees and and I can change air fuel mixture up to 15% up or down at wide open throttle, all of this bieng over the tune sent to me by MDmotorsports.

Looks good, real close to 300 rwhp.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but I do want to say:

Swingle, I like your new avatar.

I don't know if your tuner can check that out for you? Might be worth checking out. I can say that my last big HP jump was a result of geting he spark advance to 33-34 Degree's at WOT...Just try'n to help.
