The mods that matter... (not counting the Nitrous Express kit installed because that's not a constant thing so I'm not taking it into consideration at this point);
Steeda CAI and Steeda Highflow intake tube
SLP LM (i saw in one thread it lost 1-2hp but gained it in torque? on a dyno)
Bamachips 91 Octane tune
I'm going to toss on an o/r H pipe soon as well...
will that put me right at 300whp 300qtq?, or will I need a good set of headers to get there?
I figured an average GT makes about 260/260 taking into consideration the base numbers I've seen.. again just an average.

With JLT series 2 intake, custom dyno tune, offroad H, and Corsa mufflers my car made 296/316.
After adding pullies, delete plates, and 4.10 gears I'm at 303/318. I've been told that the gears probably cost me around 5 horses on the dyno.

I can live with numbers around that....
and if Nitrous Express is correct and is measured at the wheels... a 100 shot should put me at 390whp??
not bad...
If i do gears.. i'll do 3:90's as I like to do road coarses so i dont need super low gearing because of the speeds reached on the straights...

Do a search when you have time; there is alot of info that points to the statement that lower gears equates to lower dyno numbers is correct. I've seen it on my own cars personnally; the three shops that have dynos that I've been to have all confirmed it too, FWIW.

I wasn't thinking that the vehicles final drive ratio was used by the software. You learn something new everyday!

They have had their personal GT's on the dyno probably for many hundreds of hours testing different tune stratagies.
The stock GT stick, on a dyno, will put out about 260HP. The auto puts out a little less. There are some folks that claim that their tune and CAI is giving the GT a 40hp or greater gain.............thats interesting.
C&L will tell you that their CAI will put your GT at about 280+/-HP. This number is based many hours of testing in their lab.
To save yourself many hours of reading just call:
Doug at Bamachips
Brent at Brenspeed
Fred at Evolution
Ask them the question.
The stock Mustang GT is one hell of a retro car.........it aint a rocket ship. To make it a rocket ship would cost ya between 10k to 15k. If ya are gonna spend that kind of money its best to wait for a used GT500 to show up.
OR
Wait for the new Dodge Challenger to come out in late 2008 or 2009.
