how freaking awesome this car is!!

It's easy to get used to the seemingly unlimited power on tap, the rumble of the exhaust, or take for granted the grip that this car has around corners. It's also easy to concentrate on some of the negative posts about the car.

I just thought that I'd let all of those waiting that even after 10 weeks of ownership, I can't wipe the grin off my face that I get every time I start it up. Or the weird sort of satisfaction I get whenever my 2 year old daughter gets excited about going for a ride.

I hope everyone else can enjoy theirs as much as I enjoy mine.

Well said Radman. After 3 1/2 months of ownership, and 5,000 miles, I still get excited every time I turn the ignition and drive my car. I even look forward to going to work, because it means another 13 miles of peace and fun in my '05. I might have minor gripes here and there with mine, but the greatness of this vehicle far outshines them.

It's nice to see + posts about the new Stangs. Kind of like the "glass is half full", rather than half empty. I'm glad you're really enjoying your car. I think Redfire is a "hot" color, if you excuse the pun. I know it is a real head turner.

I have to drive my truck every now and then to give my cheeks a rest. Can't quit smiling when I'm in the driver's seat.

Excellent comments. It to me fullfills all my desires in regards to a car. It is awsome to drive or to just look at.

I see one everyday in the driveway and still turn to look when I pass one.
If only I could drive it more often. (Wife's daily driver)

Yahooo! I keep forgetting there are other cars on the road. Almost got in an accident coming off of a ramp the other day... I LOVE ramps! I'll go out of my way so I can take U turns. I've waited 30 years to get a car that has this look and on top of that, it's so much FUN to drive! I used to let my husband do all the driving... not any more! I'm 52 but I feel 25 in that car

I'm so glad to see this post as it echos my feelings about the car. The smiling is definitely a big one. Here's the funny part too. When you're NOT in yours and you see someone ELSES, you still get excited and look till you can't see it anymore.

Pretty cool I say!!

I've never smiled when I drive a car like I have with this one. It's a total visceral feeling and a true joy to drive. I find myself just standing in the garage staring at it... darn odd.

Ditto! going on 4 week's and 2,000 miles later.....

What, there's a little squeak in the trunk.... and the frontend clunks every once in a bluemoon when I'm parking.

So what, the service dept gets to see my car when I get to 3,000 in a couple of week's anyway, they can deal with that piddly poop then.

I've got a case of perma-grin I haven't had since my 66'

I've realized the perma-grin is inevitable with this car.

I can't stop driving her.

I was timid at first cause I never owned so much power -- and this car is a lot bigger than what I had....but now that we're gettin used to each other...things are getting exciting.

Racing up and over a small local bridge -- taking her deep into a tight turn or just flat out gassin her.

But the best is on a straight away -- getting heavy on the pedal and feeling the back end crouch down and then just friggin pounce!

This is what driving was always supposed to be.

Talking

Just reading these posts has put a big smile on my face.
Thanks all! Maybe I can do the same for others when my GT comes in.
Happy Trails!!

Jason, you must be in marketing; the title of your post was cryptic, yet it succeeded in piquing my curiosity. Well done!

I think you've got a lot of company. Most of us have enjoyed that feeling of pride and that rush of adrenaline when getting behind the wheel of a Mustang. Nothing quite like it. I can't wait to get another one. But I guess I'll have to. What they say is true, "good things come to those who wait."

I'm glad you're happy with your purchase. Now remember to lavish some praise on Ford while filling out that customer satisfaction card!

I also can't keep myself from looking at other stangs as they drive by. Suprisingly, that still doesn't happen to often. This car has been everything I hoped for and more. I sincerely believe Ford could charge 5k more for these and people would still talk about what a great car and value they are.

I park my car under a car port that has two walls. My wife waits outside the car port for me so I can get her door open. When I turn the Mustang and and she roars to life, my wife has this - Oh my gosh - look on her face. She gets in and tells me how nice it sounds.

I am already smiling. She isn't telling me anything I don't know.

I also drive a beater to keep the Mustang nice. It only has 200 hp. So when I get back in my GT, it is a whole different game.
