Has anyone done this? Is it worth it? How many pony's can it bring?

Open exhaust in seconds.
Open up your exhaust with the flick of a lever. With Mr. Gasket's exhaust cutouts, you can manually control the flow of your vehicle's exhaust either through the stock exhaust system or straight out of the pipe. Made from durable cast iron, Mr. Gasket exhaust cutouts will accept 2 in. O.D. exhaust pipes. They can be used on other size tubing as well, with the use of adapters/reducers (not included). Each cutout includes a control cable for remote installation, and detailed instructions. Brazing is required.

that would be a difficult mod to deal with due to the computer in these '05's....you would have to get the car tuned for both when it's in use and when you bypass the exhaust. You will then have to load the custom tunes each time you switch, otherwise the computer will cripple the car and go into safe mode.

Do-able but I don't think it's sensable in this car.

I asked this question a while back with the QTEC electric cutouts..... seemed like a great idea, but too much of a hassle. Try doing a search here on cutouts and see if you can find my thread.

Aren't they put in between the cats and mufflers?

Why would you have to have a custom tune? Wouldn't it be like having straight pipes. All they are doing is basically eliminating the flow through the muffler after it passes through the cats and h-pipe.

I believe that it's too drastic a change in back pressure...I may be wrong..but with how tempermental these computer sensors are, I think you'd have a problem.

If you put it between the cat and the mufflers it would be just like having SLP Loudmouths . . . no problem.
