GTA's vs. Stock Muffler Pics

Just finished the paint and GTA installation.

Took some pics of before/after for those thinking of these mufflers. They sound great, nice deep rumble. My wife likes them too, so I guess you can say that they are not overbearingly loud, but most definately deeper and louder than stock.

nice pipe centering job.... when I put my Flowmasters on, had a heck of a time centering the left axle-back.

The trumpet tips look nice on the GTAs!!!

The only thing I don't like about them is the 90 day warranty. Maremont should implement a lifetime warranty on the GTAs like everyone else, but it could be their use of T-409 SS versus everyone else with T-304 SS.

Mine are nicely being broken in. They almost sound as loud as my bassani's did on startup, but with no drone, and it's quiet in the cabin. A Little higher pitch like the stockers...I couldn't be happier with em!

Just installed these but had a few questions. Looking at these pictures it's hard to tell, but my tail pipes are pretty close to the plastic cut-out section in the rear...about 1/2" from touching it. The one on the left actually touched at first. I also noticed I had to pull the end pipe up onto the exhaust pipe to get it where it should be...as if the end pipe wasn't quite long enough.
The reason I ask is because I replaced my Flowmasters with these and the Flowmasters seemed to fit better. The end pipe went all the way up onto the over axle pipe easy and the clearance for the stainless end pipe at the top of the plastic was about 7/8".
The passengers side GTA exhaust was harder to work with because I could not pull it up to where it should be on the end exhaust. I ended up loosening the H-Pipe bolts to get all this to fit right and didn't have to do that with the Flowmasters. If anyone else had a problem with fitting let me know what you did.
As far as looks and sound I'm real happy with them. The Flowmasters were cool at first but as they broke in they got considerably louder. I also had drone at lower RPM's. I'll miss the Flowmaster WOT sound however. But these GTA's are great. They have pretty good WOT sound and absolutely NO drone.

I painted the back of my mufflers with BBQ grill paint so you could not see them. To me visual mufflers is RED NECK engineering. Even if I am one I hate the look.
My 2 cents

I did the same thing. I don't want to see the mufflers hanging under my car just the tips.

Hey blaster...had to loosen up the pipes when I did my install too. Did so after taking the stockers out, wanted to make sure the new tips lined up even and centered. There was a bit of tugging and pulling to install the GTA's, but I had nothing to compare them with. Once everything was togther, it all fell into place nicely. Scraped Knuckles?? Sure...but well worth it!

Thanks for the reply...guess it was normal to struggle with them a little. They sound good and I'm glad to be rid of the drone I had before.
