GT front brake upgrade. C5 Vette Calipers?
I had a quick question. I was told that the baer gt plus kit for a mustang is just a set of C5 corvette calipers. My question is off of what year C5 are they? Also does anyone out there make a bracket to allow them to fit a 2005 mustang?

I don't know for sure, but I highly doubt they're direct 'take-off' from a Vette. I think what they're saying is it's the same caliper design, but usually the piston sizes and particulars are very specific to each make they go on. Meaning Baer had to make these for the Stang. Same with Brembo, StopTech (both of which are better options than the GT plus from Baer) that they say designed from this OEM system, but specific to each car. Often the PADS are the same as the OEM, so probably the GT Plus PBR system uses the same pad designation as the C5 vette (I think it was the Z06 model back then, and same as the 03 Cobra), but not the same piston sizes, etc. My StopTech/Saleen ST40 calipers are designed around an old Porsche 944/928/911 pad.

Seriously look at these, they're what I have and are great, still cheap (I got mine for $900 a few years back).
