I got the 3650 ratios straight from my PCM calibration. there has been some confusion regarding the OD ratio, but my stock file shows 0.62. Tremec makes a bunch of 3650s with varied 1st and 5th gear ratios. The 5r55S ratios came out of the FSM. I found the 6060 ratios online somewhere so it may not be 100% accurate. The Shelby GT500 owners and ProRacer Package users can find their ratios in their calibration.

metroplex,

any guess at how a 3.55 rear will affect RPM with auto. tranny GT cruising at like 70 mph?

you are a wealth of knowledge! thanks!

I don't believe the factory offers 3.55s for the auto GT. At 70 mph in 5th gear with the 5R55S and 3.55s (self-installed I presume), the engine should be turning about 2200-2300 RPM. With the 3.31s, that is around 2100 RPM.

We're looking at about a 100 RPM difference in 5th gear between the 3.31s and 3.55s on both the auto and manual.

Well I hear the gears to go with on the manuals are 4.10's and for the auto's 3.73. So when I do decide to change the gears i will be going to 3.73.

With 3.73s and the 5R55S, 75 mph in 5th gear is about 2500 RPM.
With 4.10s and the 3650, 75 mph in 5th gear is about 2500 RPM as well.

I'm going to stick with 3.55s (~2000-2100 RPM at 75 mph in 5th gear).

im going with 3.55 on my auto. GT as well..

since 99% of my driving WONT be racing, i want a decent RPM when im cruising on the highway at 70-75 mph.

going from a 3.31 to 3.55 will give me just that little bit of extra kick i would need....i hope!

It depends on what you want.
I wanted 3.55.
I like going 0-60 just as much as the next guy, but the 3.55 gives me the best overall including high speed driving.
If you like 1/4 mile times, you don't have to shift out of 3rd on the track.

yes...for my auto GT i want to go 3.55 as well.

i just learned the Hertz GT shelby automatic is 3.55 for that little extra oomph off the line and highway drivability.
