Hi Red,

I'm in at the 15+ mark, $400 is my limit on a TB even for a nice one. I'll take mine in silver please. How does this work?

Cheers

Hello everyone,

Lighnting Force Performance and my tuner, SCT Performance Tuning by Andre, are offering a new throttle body for the 05. On a stock GT they are claiming 8.5 rwhp and 8 rwtq. I will be testing one for my S/C to see what rwhp and rwtq can be achived. However, I have worked a deal to get use a great deal on the throttle body as a group buy.

Selling Points:
* Designed & Machines specifically for Lighnting Force Performance
* 62mm Throttle Body
* CNC machined from 6061 billet aluminum. Not casted like other manufactures. This will insure a better fit.
* Anodized in blue, red, black, etc.
* High strength Chrome Molly shaft
* Thin throttle plate to maximize air flow
* Linkage and butterflies machined out of brass
* Improved gearing ratio for better throttle response
* Installs in 15 minutes
* 8.5 rwhp and 8rwtw on a stock Mustang GT

Costs for Group Buy:
1 person ---------------- $489 (free shipping)
2-4 people -------------- $464
5-9 people -------------- $439
10-14 people ----------- $417
15 or more people ----- $396

Lets start the talks and for those seriouly intrested, please PM me with your contact info and preferred color.
* I origianlly had posted a 60mm, but I was corrected by my tuner, Andre. It is a 62mm TB.

Bryan, are you dealing with LFP directly? Or going through your tuner? I really want to try one of these out!
Jay, this is a deal beign offered via my tuner, Andre in conjunction with LFP. If all works out, we may be able to start organizing the purchase by this weekend or next week - depeneding on how many people chime in.

Can someone tell me more about the TB, what can I expect, can you still use 87 gas...right now I am stock, but a tune and a CAI will be down the road. Do you need more mods to go along with the TB?

my $.02 worth

U can expect better throttle response, less of a restriction into the motor with the bigger bores. Also sounds like the geaing is slightly different as well.
IMO..nothing to loose w/upgrading the TB.
If your planning a CAI and a tune, gather what parts U plan on installing, and get the tune done from there.
I wouldnt buy the TB first If I were U, if thats what your thinking, but U want to take advantage of the good deal as well.
More mods will only enhance the TB's output, less restriction in,is a good thing
Oh..Im sure U can tune for the 87 octane, but u wont be taking advantage of the situation.

With a good CAI,TB,Tune,LT's,gears, these baby could really fly N/A

PM sent. I'm in. I'd love to see the S/C power gains as that's what I'm running. Need any testers? I'll pay for the $75 dyno run!

Perhaps it is time to but this thread to a vote and see what we have. Might I suggest a vote for what $ amount people will be in for.

You can count me in at the $396 mark. ( That is provided they can ship it to my mother's house. If the UPS man stops here one more time, I will be ordering a dog house to sleep in ) (( Pregnant wife, baby due in 3 week - little emotional ))

I'm waiting on the dyno numbers on the C&L, I figure my JLT would be about the same. It sure seems that with more airflow another tune would be needed or at least richen the fuel tables.

PM'ed add one more to the list...

BTW: I spoke with the folk's at LFP today. I wanted to talk to someone at the company directly (not doubting Bryan), I just had some question's I wanted to go straight to the source with...First of all the gentlemen I spoke with this morning was very cool and helpful. He explained the design features and engineering behind there throttle body's and let me tell you...this is going to be a great add on to our pony's. This throttle body IS built to there spec's...If other's are selling them it will be the one to there spec's....He also stated that 8 RWHP is conservative, they have been seeing 11 RWHP regularly and with opened up exhaust more. This Throttle body is designed and built well enough to go into space, and the throttle response was explained to me as much, much improved (much more so than the TB spacer like I curently have)... Needless to say I will be getting a anodized blue one, I can't wait. Let's get those order's in...
