CJ Ponyparts has Hurst shifters for 2005-06 Mustangs in stock and are selling them for $180 plus shipping to TMS members with a minimum of 10 orders. Retail is $210.

Email bill@cjponyparts.com or jason@cjponyparts.com or call 1-800-888-6473 and make sure to ask for Bill. Be sure to mention that you are from The Mustang Source to get the special pricing on the shifter. They need to sell 10 of them to members before they will ship. Nobody will be charged until they ship. S&H is a flat $18 to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Members in PA and NJ will have to pay 6% sales tax.

These are the FRPP/Hurst shifters. They come with a standard handle , not the chrome handle with the white ball. Any others questions please ask

does that mean when installed it will be the same height and position as the stock shifter? My biggest gripe about the Hurst is that it was higher/taller than the stock handle.

That is correct....it comes with a short steel handle to connect your shift **** to. IMHO its slightly shorter than stock actually.

BTW I WILL BE AWAY AT SCT TRAINING IN FLORIDA FROM WEDS UNTIL SATURDAY. IF YOU CALL CJS TO ORDER ASK FOR JASON OR EMAIL HIM AT JASON@CJPONYPARTS.COM

Thanks
Bill

So now there's a group buy for the Hurst. Sheeeesh!

Everyone should take advantage while you can. This is an excellent mod!

Not yet Ford Racing does have a new shifter listed that I believe will fit the V6 cars but I have no info on them yet....

The most important thing to me is that the shift **** stays stock, and it seems like that is what you're saying applies here... all the benefits of the Hurst shifter but keep the stock look. If that is whats true, I'm in. Thanks

My question is what are the performance differences between these and the actual hurst shifters. Is this one better? I found on rpmoutlet what they are calling the hurst shifter for the same price. Not really familar with these so was just wondering what the differences were and Steeda's is a $100 more. Is it better? Although i read that steeda's is stiffer than stock.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah my biggest concern is that this shifter has the positive stops like the Steeda and others have. I don't want to save $80 if the Steeda, etc is actually better. I hear this shifter isn't as tight as the others and is more of an in between. I wish somebody that has one of these could chime in on this.

I don't have one yet. heck I'm don't have my car yet! I did try one and they're great! VERY tight, positive with nice short throws.

BTW: I just got a call from the dealer... The Stang will be here Thurs!

I'm in. I was already talking to a dealer about buying it, but I don't want to pay MSRP + tax + drive downtown (I like driving... just don't like the other drivers), so I think I need to email CJ Pony Parts.

FRPP buys the shifters from Hurst. Its the same shifter and actually comes in a Hurst box with the Ford Racing decal on the side of the box.

We carry the Pro 5.0 and the Steeda as well. They have positive stops and are much beefier shifters. They are a lot tighter than the Hurst and the stocker will be but they are good for powershifting, racing, etc
