Does anybody else have this going on? Trying to go into reverse, the tranny grinds REALLY badly. Did it before and after the Tranny 1st gear and synchro TSB was done. Mechanic says he doesen't know if he can fix it and Service rep says they won't replace the tranny because of "cost caps". How the heck am I supposed to get into reverse?

Try doing the motion of shifting into first for a second, then reverse....

This transmission has a synchronized reverse does it not? So, no grinding should happen. I've never heard a hint of grind in mine.

I would go to a different dealer, one that isn't full of morons.

I agree with Sonic05, that dealer must be terrible. They don't necessarily have to shell out money to perform a tranny replacement after the original TSB didn't fix the problem. 169Stang had the same problem and they replaced his tranny. I am having some issues with the synchros from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd myself, I hope my dealer doesn't try to pull that kind of crap. Hope there is another dealer near you, good luck.
