Got winter mods?

For those of us in the northern part of the world and that use this time of the year for performance or even cosmetic upgrades. Just curious, what are your winter mod plans? Provide a brief list and pics….

Thanks…

Mine are:
- Under drive pulleys
- C&L CIA
- Eibach Pro spring kit
- Removing & Painting the valve covers
- General detailing of the under carriage.

Cosmetic for me... Chin Spoiler is being painted today, ordered GT/CS side scoops yesterday, and whatever Santa is bringing tomorrow night

I like the idea of painting the valve covers . Thought about installing shorty headers and stripes . I think that I'll wait until the spring for the window tint... ehhhh, the list goes on... lol

Pat ??? I just read your post and whatever you do ? DO NOT INSTALL SHORTY HEADERS, you'll be very disapointed.. it's been dyno proven that shorty's are only good for an additional 2-4 HP over your stock mainfolds, anyone will tell you there a complete waste of time and money..If you plan on doing a header install ?? your much better off going with Long Tubes...

You are correct on the shorty headers. I will have my Kooks going up for sale after I get the turbo installed. I should be doing the install around the end of Jan if you are interested.

Mine are cosmetic. I just got a CDC light bar and I'm taking the Cam covers to be powder coated.

I'm contemplating adding a hood scoop also, either Roush or the new Ford Scoop from the sport appearance package.

I'm working on my winter mods right now, but I don't think you can call the weather we are having in Los Angeles as "winter"... i think it was 75 today and sunny.

- nitrous kit
- bottle warmer
- purge kit
- gauges

i'm almost done just a few loose ends to tie up.

But aren't LT's not emissions legal? I was looking at Hooker Supercomp LT's, but it says they're off-highway headers. If I can't pass emissions with LT's,I will have to go with Shortys.

That isn't true at at all, LT's still connect to the 02 sensors..Most aftermarket parts you purchase will say on both the website and packaging RECOMMENDED FOR OFF ROAD USE ONLY !!! including cold air kits because their not considered as original factory installed equipment parts nor as direct factory replacements...However ? if your that concerned about passing emissions ? you either put your stock manifolds back on and then afterwards re-install your LT's after your emisssions testing is complete..Otherwise your much better off keeping your stock manifolds rather than wasting time and money on shorties..

I decided to go with LT's .Now that you let me know that stuff I am not very concerned about passing emissions now.

I've only got some minor cosmetics planned. Midwest radiator cover and shock tower strut covers (when they work the bugs out of them). Ohh....and lots and lots of Zaino.
