Got my CAI and tune on! Oh my Gosh!

I put my JLT cold air intake on and my custom tune from brenspeed on yesterday. All I can say is WOW! The difference is amazing. I think most of it is the custom tune. But the throttle is so crisp and responsive now. She just wants to run and run fast!! I love it! I can't wait to get a set of gears now and then she will run like a beast.

18-25 hp, depending if it's an 87 or a 93 octane tune.

Just the intake and tune are supposed to net between 15-30HP at the crank I believe.

Yep, that sounds like Brenspeed alright!

Just FYI, when I was NA I gained 20 hp and 25 tq at the wheels from Brenspeed's tune and JLT intake.

As strange as it sounds, that was with either.... on my car, advancing the timing to the range of the "normal 93 tune" did not increase my power. Brent at Brenspeed said that he's seen a handful of cars behave that way- don't know for sure why. He's become SCT's #1 ranked tuner, so he knows what he's talking about. I would guess, again just guessing, that if my car woulda responded to the additional timing I probably would have seen closer to 25 horse at the wheels.

It is a great combo and I love it. All my friends drive imports and they are amazed at how much more power I got with these mods. They also love the size of the CAI. It's alot bigger than theirs hehe.

After almost three years on the road this shouldn't even come up for discussion. Every single person who is interested enough in their Mustang to be reading this forum should have a CAI with a custom, (not SCT canned), tune (Bama, Brenspeed, Evolution, etc.). A stock Mustang is an absolute PIG in comparison.

Yeah, I felt the same way when I installed my tune. With Brenspeeds tune, JLT, and O/R H my car made 290hp 311tq.

Brenspeed Rocks!

I dont know if he differentiates like Doug has after talking with Brent it seems he'll tune it to what you want out of it. Give him a call and he'll help you out, I can assure you that you'll be happy with the finished product.
