Got the FRPP intake cover, but Tower bar no fit
I put on the FRPP intake cover (went on like a breeze) but, it did not allow for me to put the FRPP strut tower brace back on.....I dont think I can use enought washers to make it work...?????
Any suggestions??
It is fitting flush on the cover........way flush....

Ah yes, a well documented problem. I know FRPP is working on or has developed a bar that will clear the cover, but it's not ready for prime time yet.
Back when i had the FRPP STB, it didn't clear the MWAG plenum cover, and i modified it to fit.

despite the cut out, the structural integrity wasn't compromised as we actually reinforced it from the inside.
i'm sure this isn't exactly the solution you're looking for. but thought i'd share.
anyway.. if i had a chance to do it over, i'd replace my engine mounts and lower the engine alltogether
seeing how my Whipple didn't clear the Shelby CS6 hood (i cut and modified the hood this time :P)

Here's what I did.
Take the rubber grommets off of the rear sides of the plenum cover, sit the cover down like you normally would on top. Put the rubber grommets over top of the studs pushing down firmly and tight down the nuts on the throttle body. This will provide at least a 1/4" of clearance for the cover and strut tower bar and it'll hold firmly in place.
I have a Strange Development bar and there was only 1/16" clearance (a piece of paper barely fit through). I re-installed the cover this way and have tons of clearance even when the motor torques. I'm surprised more people haven't figured this out.
