I had 4.10 gears put in the other day (which are awesome by the way ) and made the appropriate change to the custom tune (DTP) in my Predator. It asked me if I wanted to save, so I did, and reflashed. No take! The speedo is way off so I emailed Diablo and they said I'd have to have the shop make the change to the custom tune, with no explanation as to why. I also received a PM from another member who had the same issue and had to have DTP make the change for him, as they did for me this morning. I thought the whole purpose of the Predator was to be able to make changes like this on our own? Anyone know why we can't make changes to a custom tune?

hmmmm...

I made changes to my DTP predator tune, adding WOT fuel, and it stuck on the tune ok. I always double check it once and awhile too.

That is weird.

I changed the tire revolutions on my custom tune, and it stuck as far as I can tell.

Thanks to the member who brought this to our attention.

In some CALID for the 2005 Mustang GT we had an issue at one point with the speedometer re-calibration not being applied, but have since corrected the issue.

If you go to the DiabloSport website download page for 2005 Mustang GT:

http://www.diablosport.com/Downloads.php#F...%20Mustang%20GT

Download revision R22 and update your programmer, its all good!

The simple explanation is we missed something in one of the CALID, human factor, but have since caught it and made the needed adjustment. The bright side is the DiabloSport flash programmer is updatable on the internet!

Try to make a habit of looking for updates from time to time. We add features and update calibrations if we feel we can create a more user friendly programmer just stay tuned to www.diablosport.com, we’re always working to be the best.

That's probably why my tire revs stuck, I had updated to r22 before I flashed, thank goodness :P.

Mine did the same thing when I tried to modify the factory tune, when I used the 87 octane tune and told it I had a 4:10 gear everything was fine.

We are always looking at ways to improve.

I will have to ask engineering. What exectly do you feel you need to adjust torque management for? I am not a tuner so keep that in mind, but my understanding is the torque management needs to be employed to some extent to protect the transmission, so reducing it to much, or eliminating it, would have damaging effects.

We control torque management, we test extensively on the dyno and on the street to get the balance right, not to rob power, but keep the vehicle in safe. I need to double check this as it may be a GM issue and not Ford, I am sure on GM we reduce not eliminate it for this reason.

I will let you know.

Thanks,

I as well would love an option for the traction control to be off by default.

Spend a day in the staging lanes at the track (engine on, engine off, engine on, engine off... ad nauseum), and you'd wish it would default OFF too. You only have to forget to turn it off once to feel like a complete moron. Mash the loudpedal and pppppfffttttt.... LOL

Upgrading to r22 resolved the issue without question. Thanks everyone for their input. The gears are incredible - perfect for this car! My particular install is perfect as well, the gears are as quiet as the factory 3.55's were - NO noise of any kind
