Goodyear Eagle F 1 Super Car Tires?

What's the opinion on these? Are these the ones using carbon fiber in the sidewalls? Anybody have them?

Read the comments on them on tirerack. Most people are changing these for either the Goodyear Gs-D3's or the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's.

You might also want to consider Kumho MX's. They are IMHO the best "max" performance tires on the market for the money.

I was gonna get the F1's or the pilot sports but settled on the nitto nt555's , they were half the price. My next tire will be the pilot sports.

I had Michelin Pilots on my '96. They're pretty hard to beat. But, yes the prices on all of these high performance tires are out of sight. I'm thinking of going to 18's on the '05 and trying to maintain about the same wheel + tire diameter.

The GS-D3s rocked! I had excellent dry and wet road traction on mine with about 18,000 miles on my old 97 GT before I traded it in.

I would not get the super car tires. Way too much money for what they are. The other tires in this thread are much better options.

i have the bfg kdw2's, they are a good summer tire, both wet and dry and seem to be wearing well. the other night a cold snap hit and the temp dropped down to about 35 i was going onto a entrance ramp and the car just broke traction at about 30mph almost hit the curb. i put the stock wheels and tires back on the next day. i knew these tires didnt work well in the cold but i didnt think they would be that bad, i was waiting for the weekend to do the tire swap but that pushed it up a couple days.

I Have these on my 05 and they are an outstanding tire. We don't get much rain here, but hitting an on or off ramp at 2 to 3 times posted speed is a blast with these babies.

Great tire and American's Discount Tire gave me a great price. Love them!

I love My F1 GS D3's
I dont recommend the Supercar ones, no they dont have carbon fiber in them. Thats the Eagle Response Edge.

The F1's are made for the Vettes, and ferraris, and ACtually Im pretty darn sure its what the 07 Cobra comes with.

That tire will wear like theres no tomorrow. The GS D3's seem to hold up much better and won a car and driver tire shootout.

They are expensive, but well worth it. After mine are wore out I would like to get another set, but if these prices keep going up I may go for something a little less money like the kdws2 that were mentioned.

the F1's my cost was 210ea in the size 255/45/18 and thats hefty if you ask me coming from a Goodyear dealer.
