going for alittle over 300

okay i have a 07 mustang gt standard with pypes off-road h-pipe and mac axle back exhaust.

i also have mac long tube headers correspondin mac off-road prochamber and a steeda cai. waiting to gather some more money so i can have them installed and tuned.

my question us after reading members of this board and going over their mods and horsepower there at would i be right in assuming this can yield at least 300 rear wheel horses?

if not what else might i add besides any kind of force induction to get me at say 330?

Add a set of Steeda`s under drive pulleys and with a good tune you should be around 300 give or take 5 horses. But who cares at that point. It will be fun to drive whether it hits 300 horses or not. Especially if you put a gear under it.

A CAI kit with a Brenspeed 93 tune, Under drive pulleys, Aluminum Drive shaft, and a electric water pump has me at 291.17hp on a dyno. Thats about aveage, if I put LT Headers and an off road mid pipe I would probably be around 300 but I'm waiting on a a special delivery tomorrow that should put me around 400+hps.

With cams you should be able to get up to around 330rwhp. That is of course if you do underdrive pulleys and everything else. I would also recommend gears to go with the cams.

With a rich tune (11.5:1) I was consistantly running 300 rwhp (SAE corrected) on 2 different dynos, w/ the mods in the sig. Personally I don't think UDP add much to peak HP, nor would a driveshaft. However, the added acceleration would certainly be fun and justified, IMO!!

Another item, not yet mentioned, to actually help w/ top end peak RWHP #s (supposedly), would be the intake delete plates (CMCV DPs). I now have a seemingly better tune (THANKS CR!), so hopefully I'm a bit closer to 310 rwhp now.

Alot of it depends on your car and the dyno used; most of it depends on the tune.

JLT cai, Steeda pullies, FRPP delete plates, Pypes o/r H, Borla catback and custom Brenspeed tune got me 303 rwhp & 318 rwtq. And that's with 4.10 gears- most tuners will say that steeper gears probably cost you about 5 hp on the dyno.

I got 303 rwhp and 309 rwtq with a JLT, bassani X-pipe (no cats), electric water pump, and a custome tune (93 octane).

I was getting around 295, but the tunner played with the tune a little and after a few passes was getting 303.
