Gears?

How much of a difference is the feel of 4.10's over 3.55's? Im thinking of upgrading just for the feel of them.

The feeling is unreal. You can really feel the difference.

Do you have a turbo on your car?

Hi earl, I did. Blew the motor, took the turbo off, put it on a carbed 408 stroker and dropped it in a fox. Now the 08 is N/A. Just want a fun little DD

With a N/A setup I would go 4.10's. That's a great gear for a N/A setup and will still be very streetable.

Hi earl, do the gears have more "pull" to them? Like that, "seat of the pants feel" and if so how much more than 3. 55?

Best way I can describe it is starting off in first gear with your 3.55's would be like starting off in 2nd gear with 4.10's. They make that much difference in the "seat of the pants feeling".

What would the Rpm's be at about 70mph on the 4.10's as opposed to the 3.55's.

4.10 / 3.55 = 1.1549
Precisely then 2500 x 1.1549 = 2887.3237.
Rounding then 2500 x 1.15 = 2875.
You can see rounding doesn't make a huge difference.
It follows that 2500 rpm with 3.55 gears is nearly same as 2875 rpm with 4.10 gears.
Not sure what rpms yours is turning at 70 with 3.55s but whatever it is, just multiply it by 1.1549 or 1.15 depending on how accurate you want the result.

I have an N/A combo that was originally 3.55s and I went to 3.73s a couple years ago. That was a big difference.

I just got my 4.10s today from UPS.
