the gears

1st still has plenty left to give IMO. I turn about 2700 at 75 mph. According to the mpg calc in the car I'm only getting about 1 mpg less. And most of my driving is above 60 mph. I've never driven with 373s so I can't argue one way or the other but I can tell you that the mpg loss is negligible. And that 1st gear WILL get your *** moving and is far from wiped out. Yesterday, with three ppl in the car ( me 213, my bud jay 280, and Justin 210), I spun 1st spun in to 2nd and kicked sideways, and barked and kicked a little In to third. I felt like I needed the extra gear due to the cams I put in but maybe with the stock valve train 373s would be plenty. But even if you feel like you spin too much after getting 410s you can always get wider, stickier tires. Just my 2 cents....

So with 4.10s you lose torque in 1st gear? I'm all about that get up an go from a stop an wouldn't want to lose that. Where does 4.10s help add more torque?

I have 3.73s and I would not fear going to 4.10s. First is low, but the car is relatively heavy and the extra gear would be good. You're not in first too much anyway. Highway driving is going to eat 1 to 2 mpg with gears, but if you're adding gears mpg is not your primary concern.
