So I have a C&L CAI and am running Brent's 91 Octane tune and I'm getting about 14.5 MPG.

I've read others mileage and it seems mine is quite low.

I do live in Los Angeles... possibly the most hellish traffic in the US... so maybe that's the issue.

I was just wondering if anyone else has similar mileage or if something is funky.

I only have about 800 miles on the car right now and generally don't get going more than 45 mph or so... all city driving. I really never "get on it" just because of the low miles and my location doesn't really allow for it.

Thanks for any feedback.

I had the same issue with mine. My gas mileage has gone up quite a bit since I hit between 1500-2000 miles. That was on a completely stock car though, but yours shouldn't be too much different.

I wouldn't worry too much at this point, even though I know that I was worried when it was happening to me.

Your gas milage should come up a little more. The car's computer will have to relearn since the last tune and the milage should improve some. 14 mpg though does not seem that unreasonable in stop and go traffic.

Like the others said, give it more time and your mileage will increase.....even in the L.A. ratrace.

i have cnl & sct2 with 93 tune, 11,000 miles and with the ac off this time of year i am getting 17.5 ave. i am not easy on the car either. part of your bad milage may be all of the additives that they put in the gas in la.

Still stock and average slightly over 20. 20.2 on the last tank.

Only current mod is removed the HC Trap. CAI/tune hopefully coming in next 60 days.

Thanks guys... yeah I figured it would have something to do with the traffic and possibly the computer.

I'll give it a while and see how it goes... hopefully up

I live in the LA area, my car is stock and the only time I got anything close to 20MPG was on a 600 mile road trip. I average 12-14 if I'm luck in city driving and 13-15 if I'm driving on the freeway around here. I have not noticed much improvement over when I first bought it to now with 6k on the odometer. Guess I have a heavy foot, but I think your mpg is normal.

Mine has less than 500 miles, and I'm getting right around 14mpg around town, haven't really taken it far on the highway yet.

14.5 mpg is good here. I'm getting 13.3, but I go through a ton of traffic and do some semi spirited driving when i can. Like yours my car is also really new ~600 miles.

Well, after averaging 12mpg in my '02 GT, I feel really good about the mileage on my new one. I average 18.9, and the car is driven nearly all city, driven hard (I WILL NOT be passed at a stop), and only has 1750 miles so far. I'm quite happy with it thus far- now it's time to mod it out so it gets sucky mileage.

With my mods, in L.A. traffic 75% and on the road 25% I am at 16 average. On the road in L.A. is not what anyone would consider the "open" road by any stretch of the imagination though..........

getting just under 16mpg, with about 95% percent of those miles being driven in the city (Scottsdale - it's no LA by any stretch of the imagination, but it's no picnic when it comes to traffic either, especially now that all the snowbirds are popping up to drive 10 under the speed limit in the fast lane)... i drive fairly spiritedly, but i pick my spots... overall, i definitely enjoy my drive time, so i'm glad my mpg are as high as they are given the amount of fun i have driving...

Yeah a buddy of mine has a 350z and he gets about 17 and that's a six...so I'm thinking I won't get too much higher than what I'm getting now unfortunately

I have a 40+ mile roundtrip commute here in San Diego, but most of it is on I-15... which can be good if there is light traffic or horrible if there is a lot. But overall, I average 17mpg (+/-) for my routine daily driving... and that includes my fair share of WOT short romps. On the open road (say a trip to Vegas), I will average around 22-23mpg (at 80-90mph most of the time).

And oh yea... I have 4.10 gears too.

When I drive in traffic I get 14-15 mpg shifting at 3000 to 4000 rpms and hardly getting out of second gear. When i get pissed off i get 12 - 13 mpg.

well, if I keep my foot out of it....so far ave. is 23mpg on the highway....but when I get in town, I screw it all up.

Make sure you clear your computer average with the reset. I finally figured that one out and got out of the basement.
