I talked to a rep at MM, and he told me the firts product coming out for the 05 stang will be the Caster Camber Plates. Other products will be out "sometime this year". When I asked if that meant more April or more toward December...he didn't know. All he would say is that they are currently doing R&D and it will be soon. :bang:

I hate waiting....but they have the best stuff in my opinion...

Thanks for the info. I was set on either the Steeda or Eibach springs until some recent comments indicated that you *may* need the cc plates and *may* need the adjustable panhard bar along with other parts to optimize the drop.

Well, if that's the case, I'll be waiting for a MM kit. They know their sh...stuff better than anyone.

Any further word on the c/c plates? Are they even needed?

I have decided to put the plates on Monday. You can not get much better than 3 degrees negative even with pushing the strut as far as possible to the outside. The car drives fine but over time and miles odd tire wear will be an issue. I have the stock Bullitts and tires.

Just an FYI, but I have heard a lot of complaints about doing business with Maximum Motorsports. Check the other (94-04) forums for confirmation, but I remember horror stories of bad customer service, parts being advertised that weren't in stock, slow shipping, etc. Remember just because they have the biggest ads in a magazine doesn't mean they are the best suppliers! :nono:

I just called them to inquire about a camber kit for the '05: "Hopefully we'll have one in about a couple of months..."

I just spoke to my Ford dealer about my 1.8 negative camber and their lack of a courtesy call to see what I wanted to do about it. My servicewriter said he would speak to their alignment guy and call me back which he just did. He apologized for the lack of communication but that there wouldn't have been anything else they could have done while the car was in. It requires a "camber kit" at $300.00 and $180.00 to install it (1.7 hours). They wouldn't charge me again for the alignment though ($78.95)! How nice of them! Granted, these are Canadian prices, but still! I can get Steeda's billet camber plates myself for about $260 CDN. I'm going to try talking to them about Procedure 240-00-1 and the cost of the cam bolts...

I don't know why, but I'm not having the same issue with the alignment or camber as you guys are. I have a 1" drop with the steeda sport springs.

I had everything they sell on a 91 gt i had and let me tell you it is worth the wait, MM's stuff makes steda, saleen and eibach stuff look like kiddy toys in comparison (performance wise)

I never had any problems with them, they were always willing to help and had fast shipping 1-2 days.

Thats why you dont buy it straight from them, but another shop that carries them if at all possible, I hate doing business directly with any company that isnt a store because this tends to be the case a lot of times.

Do the tops of your tires look like they're tilted inwards a little?
Did you have the alignment checked? What did they say your LH and RH camber was?

After I lowered the car, I went straight to the best shop around-Weber wheel alignment. Everyone (around here) knows who they are. The newest employee there has been there for 18 years. The company itself has been there for 40+ years. I gave them the specs for the alignment thinking they wouldn't have it yet. They told me they didn't need them. They don't use anything electronic. It's all old school equipment. They used these weights and some other apparatis. I don't know. I just know the tires are not tilted in or out. Believe me, after seeing that thread, I looked. I didn't ask about what the specific camber was. Maybe someone here could chime in on what type of tools they were using to do the alignment. All I know is that the tires are straight, it doesn't pull and the tires haven't worn unusually. I've got probably 4000 miles on the tires since the alignment.

If they're as good as you say, maybe they automatically did the equivalent of Ford's Procedure 240-00-1 without even batting an eye.
