What is the ideal fuel air mix? I don't think anyone has addressed this subject here.
I was over reading Tood's posting on his predator retune and thought I would ask those that know as I do not.

From what I've heard, 12.5 is ideal and safe.

stoichiometric air-fuel ratio for gasoline is 14.7:1. That means an A/F ratio of 14.7 is ideal. This is what your computer will shoot for while cruising. Under WOT, ~13.3 is a safe number for a N/A engine. 12.0 is a safe ratio under WOT for a FI engine.

At cruising speeds the I believe the computer shoots for 14.7 or close to it.
When I race I'll set the A/F ratio for a maximum of 13.0 at WOT. The A/F ratio will vary a couple of tenths during a run. 12.8 to 13.0 makes the most power.
Since I got the wideband A/F guage, the WOT ratio varies up to 1.2 points due to changes in weather conditions.
