FRPP Shorty Headers

I bought a set of FRPP Shorty Headers for my 2005 mustang GT. The photos show a bung for an O2 sensor on the drivers side header. The headers I received do not have the bung for the O2 sensor. Should the FRPP headers for a 2005 mustang GT have the bung for the O2 sensor?

Not to bring ya down, but my suggestion is to sell them. You will get little to no power gains and the fitment with the steering column sucks. (IE any rolling of the engine going around corners and it rubs the steering column, I had to put a huge dent in mine ) Get some good longtubes (kooks or american racing are considered the best) you will just end up tossing the shorties for them eventually anyway. They actually make power and the sound difference is awesome.

I agree, but I'm lowered and don't want to scrape to the point where it causes damage...

I'd like the shorties just to get rid of Ford rust. Any bit of added low-midrange torque would just be a bonus. And then powder coat the cam covers instead of Ford's cheap *** look under the hood.

I recently had BBK tuned length shorties installed when I did my delete plates. Results from the shorties and delete plates netted me 20 rwhp and similar torque increase. With my Granetelli CAI, BBK Shorties, Delete Plates, and 4:10s I'm pushing 301 rwhp and 315 torque. I'm happy with the power I gained from the shorties+deletes. The sound of the exhaust with the tuned shorties and my stingers is low and aggressive. Definitely a sound most ricers avoid picking races with.

I say look at the BBK Tuned Ceramic headers if you're not wanting to go LT.

I used to live in the PRC (People's Republic of California) and as I recall, eventually you will have to have an emissions test. I seem to recall that its after 5 years.

shorty headers look cool, but waste of money in my opinion.

Guess its sort of like the trademark Ford rusted rear end. Doesn't really hurt, just looks like crap to the owner and like the manufacturer doesn't give a dang.

Not true. They increase the power curve throughout the rpm range but not much more for total whp or trq.

If you're already lowered, then you're probably careful when going over bumps already, or you should be. So nothing to worry about.
