Unless you are in California, get the GTQs. The GTAs are quieter.

Are the FRPP mufflers the exact same as the other Borlas?

The reason I ask is I intend to go with some LT headers and a catted X-pipe from Kooks or Stainless Works. I'm in Maine and rust is a huge problem here. I intend to get the LT headers, catted-X, and the mufflers all made of 304 Stainless Steel.

The paperwork that came with my FRPPs says Borla all over it. So yes, they are exactly the same.

The louder FRPP mufflers are the M-5230-5GT. They are almost a muffler deleate as you can look right through them. I put them on my car and they sure sound sweet.

Looks like the 5230-GTA has the 4.0 exhaust tips and the 5230-5GTQ has the 3.5 exhaust tips.

I concur, I dunno about any of them with a letter at the end, but the 5230-GT's are great

RPM is that plus shipping...I got them from a ford dealer for 330 and with shipping it was 367 to my door.

http://johnbleakleyford.com/frparts.asp

Call them and ask if they have any in stock...he keeps one set in stock at all times and I got mine a few weeks ago...maybe he has more

Has nothing to do with smog at all. It's about the loudness. Mufflers have Zero impact on emissions

Just an FYI to anyone looking to buy at RPM Outlet. Looks like they are selling the GTA's (quieter ones) for $379. Their description is 50 state legal and 4" tips. The 5GT's (louder) are 49 state legal and have 3.5" tips. This info comes of the FordRacing page.

I emailed them about that earlier, still waiting on a clarification. They have one pictured and then describe the other. :bang:

The Ford racing website is a mess :bang: I know what it says, but it's wrong. The tips are also 4" on the 5GT's. The difference is the muffler, the tips are the same across all the model numbers.
