Forged internals

I am dropping a 4.6 in my mustang. But building it from intake to oil pan. What is a good site to get forged internals? (Pistons, rods, crank, etc.)

except that brenspeed tune.

no answer to high altitude issues on the 4.6.

no answer to the #8 failure in the 5.0.

I too have a Forged Engine build underway with associated driveline mods. Once you get going you will figure out that the "(Pistons, rods, crank, etc.)" list is a pretty long one. Not BS, don't want to muck up Claypops thread, but I can provide pictures of everything in "inventory" except for the Aluminator as it is in shop storage.

With all my plans I plan on putting 900hp from the motor. It's just going to take a while. And lots of money. I just hope to get there soon

900 HP on the street, WOW that is a very aggressive goal!!! I am not sure that it can be done on pump gas? Do your plans call for a return style fuel system and alternate fuel?

Ya that's my goal. But like you said it's an aggressive goal. I don't know a whole lot about fuel systems. If it can't be done on pump fuel then I probably won't get 900. I'm in a v6 now so anything is a big jump. But I want to do it right before I drop it in. I guess I'll see what 25 pounds of boost gives me before I mess with the fuel systems

900 hp on the street would be pretty useless, unless you like to spin the tires a lot.

You also might want to look into chassis stiffening with that kind of power, I don't know what the v6 chassis is rated for but 900 is pretty insane.

I'm in the mid 600hp range with my GT500 swap and first gear is completely useless if I stomp it. Hell second gear is too come to think.

It's fun as hell, but just be careful with that much you're going to find traction a real problem.

Ya I mean once I get it dropped in, it's definitely not goin to be pushing 900. That's just what I'd like it to be at eventually. To get that much on a dyno I would probably have to be pushing a lot of boost and a shot of nitrous. And what have you done to the GT500 motor?

For that kind of power you are better off going with a return style fuel system. Talk to these guys http://www.sandhperformance.com/?page_id=48 and they can build you a system for your needs. You will also need a much better transmission and rear end to handle that kind of power.

GT500 motor is stock. But added a bigger blower and upgraded HE.
