This thing is built really solid. The Ford Racing plate is actually on top of a structural crossmember as you can see from the pics. That's two mods and no car yet! I definitely have the mod sickness!

Yeah, I have one installed on my car. Looks great. I've been contemplating buying some touch up paint and painting the Ford blue and the racing in red but haven't gotten around to it.

Did anyone notice a difference in handling with this or other strut tower braces installed?

Nice brace! I noticed a little better handling at the road course nearby. I guess the earlier Mustangs had more body flex than the 05 but the car seems more responsive and better handling after I installed mine.

strut tower brace + springs + sways + low-pro tires = 1g lateral acceleration

the brace itself sufficiently reduced body roll on mild to moderate cornering. heavy corning it made little difference other than premature understeer. its def worth the 200 bucks tho, even if it did nothing but clean up under the hood!

i noticed some improvement in the handling after i added mine... definitely worth what it cost...

as for the downside that someone asked about, the only one i can think of is that i don't believe a pleneum cover will fit under it....

Does anyone know for sure if the midwest engine cover fits under this brace?

I saw a picture of a Steeda strut tower brace with an air intake cover under it, could not see what type, I also have a Ford Racing Strut, but would like to add the air intake cover as well. As far as the feel after the brace is installed, the car just feels stronger up front.

Looks really, really nice. Plus the added benefit of slightly better handling/feel..........I think I may get one, then paint the silver part to match my Redfire.

How hard was it to install and was an alignment needed afterward?

It's 4 nuts and there is no need for an alignment.

The UPS ship weight was 8.6 lbs, and that sounds about right.

I installed a single bar brace over my plenum cover and it just barely clears! And that's only because I inserted large lock washers under the brace before I cinched it down. A single paper towel sheet will slide under the bar. Here's a pic of the finished installation.

I bet that will rub when you romp on it! I have the same cover and want to install the FRPP brace but am still trying to find out if it will fit.
What to do?? I want it all!! P.S. I really like your decal on your JLT intake. Where did that come from??
