Thumbs up

I have been reading and searching for information on the Ford Racing handling package. All I've ever seen is "I'm going to get one soon", has anybody bought one and installed it yet? I have one in my garage as I write, it will be installed Tuesday. I made the purchase based on faith , I guess because I haven't been able to find any real feedback on the package. I know I can't be the only to have bought one. Any feedback on the package out there?

I will get before and after pictures. Opened the boxes yesterday to check it out. Whose name do do you think is all over it? If you guessed Eibach your correct. Springs only say "made in Germany" on them but hardware links, etc have Eibach logo. Strut tower brace does not fit with plenum cover but other than that it is a good looking product package.

I'm having the same shop that performed the tunes installing it. If I had a rack I'd do it myself.

Good guess

Picked it up last night, love the handling for the short time I drove it last night. The 3.73 gears feel good also...... Hopefully will post pics later today.

Tell us about the way your car handles now. Street manners, cornering, grip, etc. I am seriously considering this setup.

Only have about 100 miles on it but the handling is greatly improved. Where as it used to squeal if you got on it around a corner it just grips and goes. I plan on doing some autocross this spring so I'll be better able to tell you after that. The ride is obviously a little harsher but not as bad as I expected. No question that it turns and brakes with little or no fade. The drop now is about 1 1/4" lower than before. I thought it may bottom out turning in to driveways etc. but not yet. I did have to remove the plenum cover for clearance of the strut tower brace, anybody need a Windveil Blue cover?

Yes that is the after, I still can't get any of the befores to post, it tells me I've exceeded the space available. I'll figure it out at work and get them posted.

Tires are 255/45/18 BFG T/A's

Did you do the complete package with struts and shocks? I was looking at adding them to my Eibach spring package I have now. The car is just a bit to bumpy.

Thanks Mike

Confirming this is the M-2005-FR3 handling pack, with an MSRP of $1,149? But this doesn't appear to come with the 3.73 gears, so is this something you purchased on the side?

Thanks,

Tony

It is the M-2005-FR3, the gears were a separate deal they talked me in to. You walk in with money and they figure out how to separate you from it!

Yes this was the complete set-up, the FRPP M-2005-F3 package. Not sure what you mean by too bumpy because compared to stock this is a bit bumpy. But I can tell you it turns flat, no roll or dive. I find myself wanting to take corners faster than needed. Not impressing my wife at all!

I need some help with posting the pictures.. I've tried to re-size the installation pics but it keeps coming back saying I've exceeded my limits. I've tried everything I know, which isn't much but same results. The one picture I posted was with my camera and had no problem, the others were emailed to me and I can't size correctly or don't have the right formatting. Any of you computer wizards have any ideas?

Maybe it's the 9.77MB "Global Space Limit" you have exceeded (total of all pics posted at TMS). I ran into that recently, and had to go back and delete a bunch of old ones to free up a couple megs. If you go to My Controls, then click on "Manage Your Attachments" (listed under "Options" on the left hand side), you will see all the pics you have posted (in reverse chronological order). You can delete some them to free up space. I decided to just go to the last page of pics and delete the oldest.
