FORD CNC PORTED 3-VALVE RH CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY for 2007 GT?
FORD CNC PORTED 3-VALVE RH CYLINDER HEAD ASSEMBLY for 2007 GT?
Saw this as a new addition on the FRP site. There is an "RH" and an "LH."
Since I'm not the most automotive smart...can somebody explain what this is? Ford says the $1300 unit equals 20% more intake flow and 30% more exhaust. Not sure what that equates to in the real world.

Wonder how these compare to the Livernois ported heads.... The Livernois heads are less expensive since the $1795 price is both heads, and not just one, like the FRPP page seems to imply.

Not really when you think about it. Its just the stock head but ported. You would get more gains if the chambers were smaller. I wonder if it would be possible to deck them.

Nope. Can't deck the heads on these mod motors with their overhead cam design. It will mess up the timing chains and stuff.

frpp heads
mm&ff did an article in Feb issue, your suppose to get 20 hp n/a, they got 33.8 on a blown stang w/procharger running 10 psi. # on car were low so they were running on mustang dyno or real safe tune or auto. they started at 409/358 ended 443/386. by the way I've seen article on livernois stage 2 heads and stock cams get 40 hp to the wheels.
I think people are confused on how an engine makes power.
No matter how much flow your heads have the cylinders can only hold so much air and fuel NA. So with 4.6L of displacment the only way you are going to make alot more power NA is to increase revs or increase displacment.
Thats why most mustang people go forced induction casue you can either make power with higher revs or add displacment. and a blower or turbo is basically making your engine act like an engine of greater displacement.

unless you have an f-body. the fact is, these 4.6s are just toooo small! we need a bigger motor.
